Valentines Memory Book

photo2photo1Warning: This is not an original idea, but I loved how it turned out so much that I had to share it with you. I made this for my hubby for our Anniversary and he absolutely LOVED it! It’s so close to Valentines Day that I thought you might  like it. I have no idea who actually was the first one to come up with the idea, but if you type “52 Things I Love About You” into Pinterest, you will find a whole bunch of these that are all so unique and beautiful.

Supplies Needed:
Vintage Playing Cards
Book Rings, these are nice to have on hand for projects
Hole Punch
Glue Dots – do not use hot glue…it won’t stick for long
Printable & Editable Version of my cards CLICK HERE – Microsoft Word Document
The fonts I used are Eraser and KG Two Is Better Than One in case you need to download them

-Open up the word document and edit the words to be your own. You will need almost 3 full pages to make enough memories to fill up all the cards. I came up with as many big memories that I had together with my husband from the time we started dating until now. I even had the dates of each one from a journal I kept. Then with any of the leftover cards I put all the things I love about him. I really think it gave the book some variety and it was really fun to go through all the memories together.  It’s like his own little cheater book of our first date, first kiss, wedding etc.
-Punch 2 holes on the left side of the cards while they are facing up, except for your top card, this should be facing down. I used a 3 hole punch to do this, but only used the right punch for the top hole and a the left punch for the bottom hole. This way I could line it up on the measurement lines so that they all came out the same.
-Now put you rings through the holes to create your book.
-Print and cut out your memory cards and glue them on with the glue dots. Do not use hot glue, I did this to a couple of my last ones and they fell off a few days later. The glue dots work perfectly and are quick to use.
-Now admire your beautiful book for that special someone. It really does make an excellent gift.
